Absorption – ab·sorp·tion
There are various usages of the word ‘Absorption’, however when used as a noun in reference to cognitive ability it means – preoccupation with something to the exclusion of all else.
I have not written a blog post for over a month and the above excuse is the one I have used and the one I am sticking with.
I started writing a blog in an effort to discipline myself to write everyday, and I have been doing that, just not on my blog. I am working on the first draft of “The Beast.” That is not the working title of the project – that is what it is – a honking big out of control animal that at times devours every conscious hour.
What began as a seed of an idea has quickly grown into a selfish, hungry entity, with a life of its own, sucking at the grey matter in my brain – they are now a pale white.
This thing which will probably never see the light of day, demands to fed daily and often and since there is no commercial formula for it, everything I feed it is made from scratch.
I almost gave up the blog, after all there are millions of them out there and they are born and die everyday, who would miss mine?
Apparently hubby. You see besides Mafia Wars on Facebook, my blog posts are the only reading he does and I do not want to be held responsible for the deterioration of a good mind.
So I promise to begin writing blog posts again.
DAMN! Got to go – the beast is hungry – again!

Well, welcome back. Don’t tame The Beast — when inspiration hits, you have to go with it!
thanks for your words of encouragement – it is hard though, stinking lonely job – this “beast babysitting!”
