This is good example of “divine marketing” – the Catholic Church “stealing customers who are unhappy with their current spiritual provider.
It is a good move when one institution is suffering from internal in-fighting; for another that addresses similar needs to take advantage and capitalize on the others weaknesses.
In one single stroke of the pen his Holiness Pope Benedict has managed to undo history.
